Water Supply

Among all of the supplies critical to survival, securing a water supply has been the most difficult task to accomplish. While food crops and shelter construction has proceeded according to plan, scouts have returned with no good news whatsoever. It seems we will need to expand further inland, towards the mountains, in order to obtain fresh water. Of course, the meddling and unwelcoming factions here will prove to be a continual nuisance as we try to gather the resources necessary for our survival. Why can't they see that we need help? Are we so alien to them that they fear us?
